ABOUT THE PIONEER MARKET

Pioneer Market is proud to carry forward a piece of Hastings history while creating something fresh for our community. Our name pays tribute to the Pioneer Boat Club, a beloved gathering place that once stood at the southernmost tip of the Hastings waterfront. Though the club was sadly lost to a fire in August 2017, its spirit of camaraderie and connection lives on through our market.

Located at 537 Warburton Avenue, Pioneer Market is taking root in the former Four Season Market, also known to many as Hastings Prime Meats. While honoring the tradition of being a neighborhood staple, we’re steering in a new direction—placing our focus on fresh fish and distinctive seafood delicacies. From daily catches to unique provisions, we aim to bring the best of the sea to your table.
